Are you an ambitious indirect tax specialist ready to take ownership of a VAT practice and shape its future growth?

A leading accountancy firm is seeking an Indirect Tax Director to lead, develop and expand its VAT offering. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced VAT professional seeking greater autonomy, strategic influence and the platform to build a successful practice.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the firm's partners, you will take responsibility for driving the VAT practice forward, combining technical leadership with business development and team management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a growth strategy for the VAT practice.
• Building and leading a high-performing indirect tax team.
• Generating new business and strengthening existing client relationships.
• Leading complex UK and international VAT projects.
• Advising on corporate transactions, restructuring and property-related VAT matters.
• Collaborating with other service lines to identify commercial opportunities.
• Mentoring colleagues and developing future VAT specialists.

About You

You will have extensive VAT experience gained within professional practice, alongside strong commercial awareness and proven leadership capabilities and be CTA qualified.

Crucially, you will possess the ambition, confidence and entrepreneurial mindset to build a thriving VAT practice.
