Associate, Investments, Infrastructure AI
- Focus on high-quality real assets or highly contracted businesses that underpin AI.
- Leverage Brookfield's global operating presence and local relationships to access niche opportunities.
- Utilize existing capabilities in data infrastructure and power development to scale AI infrastructure platforms
- Develop and oversee detailed financial models and return analyses to evaluate potential investments across AI infrastructure sectors (e.g., data centers, compute hardware, power, and connectivity).
- Lead or support due diligence processes, including financial, operational, legal, and tax workstreams, ensuring alignment with the investment thesis and business case.
- Prepare and present investment committee materials, bid letters, and transaction documentation with increasing ownership at senior levels.
- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities, leveraging industry research and market intelligence.
- Contribute to or lead idea generation for transactions and deal structures, including identifying value creation strategies and market entry points.
- Assist in implementing business development and transaction strategies, including networking and relationship-building to uncover new opportunities.
- Partner with operating teams across Brookfield's infrastructure and transition platforms to support due diligence and post-investment asset management.
- Coordinate with internal legal, tax, and structuring teams to ensure transaction execution aligns with strategic and financial objectives.
- Foster a collaborative, dynamic, and team-oriented culture that supports personal development, mentorship, and skill-building-especially for junior colleagues.
- Lead or contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives that advance fund strategy or operational excellence.
- Conduct deep industry and market research to inform investment strategies and identify emerging trends in AI infrastructure.
- Help establish and refine investment theses, including competitive positioning and long-term growth drivers.
- Exceptional analytical skills with deep expertise in financial and investment analysis, including advanced financial modelling capabilities.
- Highly self-motivated and adaptable, with a proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, manage shifting priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Professional and collaborative, with a strong ability to contribute meaningfully within dynamic, team-oriented settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of engaging effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Meticulous attention to detail, combined with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in performance-driven environments.
- Strong interest in AI investment strategies.
- Relevant sector experience in AI, infrastructure, and general private equity considered an asset.
- A professional, positive attitude and capable of contributing to a dynamic and team-oriented culture;
- 3-5 years Experience in investment banking, restructuring, TMT and/or infrastructure investments or other relevant areas;
- High level of proficiency in Excel and Power Point and very strong financial modelling skills.
