As the first point of contact for parents, visitors, contractors, and pupils, you will handle face-to-face inquiries, manage telephone calls, and execute essential administrative tasks. This is a fast-paced, highly varied role suited to an approachable, organized, and reliable professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the main school reception desk, greeting visitors, parents, and contractors with a professional and welcoming manner

  • Oversee visitor sign-in procedures, issue security badges, and maintain strict safeguarding protocols

  • Answer incoming telephone calls, handle general inquiries, and direct messages efficiently to relevant staff members

  • Maintain pupil records, attendance updates, and general databases using school management software

  • Assist with incoming and outgoing mail, email correspondence, and whole-school communication distributions

  • Support the senior leadership and teaching staff with day-to-day administrative tasks, document preparation, and filing

  • Manage the pupil medical room logging, first aid administration, and parent contact when required

  • Support the smooth day-to-day administrative running of the busy school office
