👤 HR Manager - Haringey | Full HR Responsibility
Haringey | ⏰ ASAP Start | Temporary to Permanent | 8:30am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday | Term Time Only | £45,000–£51,000 FTE
A secondary school in Haringey is seeking an experienced HR professional to take on the role of HR Manager and become a key part of its support team.
You’ll be working alongside an HR Assistant, giving you the opportunity to focus on the more senior and advisory side of HR while still remaining involved in the day-to-day running of the function.
Key Areas
People & Employee Relations
Advise managers and staff on HR matters.
Manage absence, performance and probation processes.
Support disciplinary and grievance cases.
Deal with sensitive employee issues appropriately.
Recruitment & Compliance
Oversee recruitment and safer recruitment checks.
Ensure personnel records remain accurate and complete.
Maintain the Single Central Register.
Support pre-employment checks and onboarding.
HR Administration
Oversee contracts and staff changes.
Monitor absence and HR data.
Keep policies and procedures under review.
Work closely with the HR Assistant on administration and queries.
What You’ll Need
Previous experience at HR Manager, HR Advisor or Senior HR Officer level is important, ideally within a school or education setting.
You’ll need a good working knowledge of employment law, excellent organisational skills and the confidence to deal with confidential matters.
CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience would be desirable.
What's Included
Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
Term-time-only contract.
£45,000–£51,000 FTE depending on experience.
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm.
