Practice Support Physician Associate

Abtrace
London
Description
Abtrace is solving one of the most complex and impactful problems in healthcare: helping primary care deliver proactive, preventative care at scale.

The NHS is under immense pressure. Primary care teams are asked to deliver more care for a larger, longer-living population with limited time and workforce capacity. Healthcare provision must become more proactive, preventative, and operationally efficient. We must automate where possible and thoughtfully digitise the rest.

Abtrace supports over 500 primary care practices across the UK, serving 6 million people. We automate the delivery of measurements, vaccinations, blood tests, reviews, and other routine care. We improve healthcare outcomes, reduce operational burden, and create better experiences for staff and patients.

We are looking for an experienced Physician Associate with expertise in patient monitoring and recall in primary care to join our team as a Practice Support Physician Associate. This role ensures our clients achieve the best possible outcomes with our software. As a Practice Support Physician Associate, you will onboard and support GP practices, ensuring the successful adoption of the Abtrace platform. You will use your expertise in recall and monitoring for Long Term Conditions, Medications, and Screening to help practices optimise workflows, enhance patient care, and improve practice performance. This customer-facing role involves training, troubleshooting, and proactively engaging with practices to maximise their value from the software. You will also gather user feedback and collaborate with the internal team to continuously improve the platform and client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Guide GP practices through the onboarding process, ensuring smooth setup and configuration of the Abtrace platform. Build and maintain strong relationships with practices, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Training & Support : Deliver tailored training sessions to various team members within a practice, including both administrative and clinical staff. Utilise your experience in recall searches to teach users how to design recall using the Abtrace Proactive Monitoring Tool. Provide ongoing support, resolve issues promptly, and collaborate with the Abtrace team to reach solutions efficiently.
  • Proactive Engagement : Monitor client utilisation data to identify opportunities for improvement and maximise adoption. Act proactively to ensure practices derive maximum value from the software.
  • Feedback & Collaboration: Collect and communicate user feedback, feature requests, and potential improvements to the technical team. Work closely with other Abtrace clinicians to address any client concerns requiring clinical expertise.
Requirements
Desired Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in primary care, with a solid understanding of GP practice operations.
  • Experience in patient monitoring and recall, including QOF, Locally Commissioned Services, and Medication Monitoring.
  • Proficiency in EMIS or SystmOne, particularly in conducting searches and analysing practice performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and self-management skills, able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Commercial experience in the healthcare or health technology sector.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
  • Private pension
  • Generous maternity/paternity leave
  • Flexible working with the possibility of remote work (minimum two days a week in our Paddington, London office)
  • Collaborative, multidisciplinary team
  • Opportunity to be involved in ground-breaking technology impacting patient health
If you have a passion for improving patient care through technology and are eager to use your expertise in a dynamic role, we would love to hear from you!
