Apprenticeship - IT Support Engineer

About the Role

Launch your IT career as an IT Engineer Apprentice at GSR, a global crypto trading firm. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced technology environment while working towards a Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification with BPP.

You will spend four days each week supporting the macOS devices, SaaS platforms, and workplace technology that keep our business running, with one day dedicated to structured learning. Your training and day-to-day work will be closely aligned, allowing you to apply what you learn and build the foundations of a career in engineering and technology.

You will work alongside experienced engineers who will support and mentor you throughout the programme. No previous commercial IT experience is required; we are looking for curiosity, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Help colleagues resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues.
• Set up and support laptops, user accounts, and workplace technology.
• Assist with the cloud-based tools and software used across the business.
• Support employee onboarding, device management, software updates, and routine maintenance.
• Keep support tickets, equipment records, and technical guides accurate and up to date.
• Explore how AI, scripting, and automation can improve everyday IT support.

What You Need to Apply

• A-Levels or an equivalent qualification.
• A genuine interest in technology and how things work.
• Basic familiarity with computers and everyday software.
• Strong attention to detail and a logical approach to solving problems.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with different people.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
• The confidence to ask questions and take feedback on board.

Experience with macOS, scripting, home technology projects, troubleshooting computers, or using AI tools would be helpful, but is not essential.
