Purpose of the Role:

As the Copywriter, your primary purpose is to maintain and champion the brand tone of voice, elevating our owned-channel content. Collaborating closely with the marketing team and SEO agency, you will lead initiatives to manage and deliver compelling copy across all stages of the customer journey, expanding into areas like SEO optimisation and data-driven content ideation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and champion the brand TOV, setting a stellar example and infusing it into every piece of writing.
  • Help elevate our owned-channel content through conceptualization, writing, and publishing regular posts. Collaborate with our SEO agency and creative team to produce stories that meet our objectives, highlight the brand positively, and effectively reach our customers in both tone and timing.
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the business to manage and deliver on copy briefs for every stage of the customer journey. Engage in a variety of tasks ranging from crafting concise product labels that highlight USPs, to creating store messaging that captures attention on busy high streets, to devising compelling social media content that encourages conversions.
  • Assist the marketing team with the creation of press releases, lookbooks, partnership content, and copy support for local marketing events.
  • Be an ambassador for great writing at Moss, crafting compelling and relatable stories for our customers across various platforms, writing convincing and engaging copy that adheres to our tone of voice, leveraging cultural insights to produce content that resonates with our audience, and working collaboratively with different teams to ensure a cohesive content strategy.
  • Employ SEO principles to optimize content for a better search engine ranking and analyse data from Google Analytics to generate content ideas.
  • Utilie HTML skills to build engaging content layouts and manage a portfolio that showcases a natural writing style and adherence to tone of voice guidelines.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Technical:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with digital and print media copywriting. Crafting engaging content for diverse platforms.
  • Experience in SEO optimisation. Employing SEO strategies to enhance content visibility.
  • Knowledge of HTML for creating and managing web content.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics to analyse data and derive insights for content improvement.

  • A natural storyteller and talented writer, adept at empathising with customers to find engaging narratives and crafting natural, tone-of-voice aligned copy that resonates with our audience.
  • Attuned to the cultural lexicon, with a deep understanding of customer communication styles online, combined with a comfort and confidence in collaborating effectively across business teams.
  • Excellent self-editing skills, ensuring content not only captures the audience's attention but is polished and refined, highlighting a keen eye for detail and editorial angles.

Additional information: Our Hybrid Work Policy requires a minimum of 3 days in the office and 2 working from home.
