Bruin is proud to be partnering with a fast-growing Lloyd’s brokerage operating in specialist sectors including sport & entertainment, bloodstock, and fine art. As part of their expansion, the firm is looking to appoint a Senior Insurance Technician to join their London-based team.
This is a superb opportunity to join an entrepreneurial, agile business that is making a strong name for itself in niche markets, offering a highly technical role for someone with deep London Market experience.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Broking, the Senior Insurance Technician will play a central role in supporting the technical and operational delivery across a range of complex insurance classes, including Contingency, Bloodstock, and Fine Art. You'll be responsible for documentation, processing, compliance, and stakeholder communication, helping ensure accuracy, speed, and regulatory alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and process insurance documentation and slips across a variety of specialist lines
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into London Market systems such as Whitespace , PPL , and Atlas
Manage and monitor premium processing , bordereaux, and settlement activities in line with A&S standards
Liaise closely with underwriters, brokers, and service providers to resolve operational and technical queries
Maintain internal systems and accurate records of policy lifecycles, endorsements, and adjustments
Support onboarding and sanctions screening in conjunction with compliance and third-party oversight
Assist in meeting Lloyd’s reporting requirements and regulatory obligations
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives and operational best practice
About You:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical role within the London Market
Strong understanding of Lloyd’s and Company Market operations, including A&S procedures
Experience working in specialist classes of insurance (Contingency, Bloodstock, Fine Art highly desirable)
Familiarity with key systems including Whitespace, PPL, DCOM, Atlas
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Able to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
A collaborative team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
