On-the-Go Mechanic

Together, we’re going places.
About the Role
As a Mobile Mechanic in our Service, Maintenance, and Repair division, you’ll bring your expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers, wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you’ll deliver first-class service without the constraints of a traditional garage.
We’ll equip you for success from day one with your own van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided. Enjoy independence, career progression, and a real work-life balance with a 40-hour week that keeps you moving and out of the same four walls.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostics at various customer locations.
- Engage with customers, offering advice and representing the organization with pride.
- Manage stock, reporting, and maintain customer relationships.
- Think on your feet to make informed decisions for each customer’s needs.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary: Base salary of £45,378 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), with on-target earnings of up to £57,000.
- Guaranteed Overtime: Option to work extra days at £30 per hour after your first month, potentially increasing your annual earnings significantly.
- Tools for Success: Free RAC Ultimate Complete Breakdown Service from day one, plus access to a car salary sacrifice scheme after 12 months.
- Generous Time Off: 23 days of holiday (rising to 25 with service) plus bank holidays, with support for work-life balance.
- Financial Security: Pension scheme with up to 6.5% matched contributions and life assurance cover.
- Wellbeing Support: 24/7 confidential support service available for you and your household members.
- Exclusive Discounts: Access to our discount portal and automatic enrollment in our Colleague Share Scheme after passing probation.
What We’re Looking For
- People Skills: You understand the importance of customer interaction and represent the organization with pride.
- Adaptability: Enjoy a variety of tasks including servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and customer engagement.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and make the right decisions for each customer.
Requirements
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a vehicle technician with a range of light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
