Shape the Future of AI-Driven Autonomy with VML MAP Agentic Labs

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI technology? Do you want to build next-generation agentic AI systems that go beyond traditional automation and redefine human+AI collaboration? If so, join our Agentic AI Lab, where you'll work at the cutting edge of multi-agent architectures, autonomous workflows, and AI reasoning systems.

About VML MAP Agentic Labs

At VML MAP, we are investing in the future by leading the way in agentic AI development. Over the past year, we've built VML MAP Agentic Labs, a four-pronged initiative focused on designing, building, and implementing agentic AI solutions that drive real business value for ourselves and our clients. Our labs include:

Agentic Design Lab - A product centric function responsible for uncovering and designing value-driven agentic AI opportunities that are feasible, viable, and deliverable.

Agentic Development Lab - A best-in-class agentic platform and development practice, delivering multi-agent workflows with rapid, outcome-driven iterations and long-term adoption strategies.

Agentic Research Lab - Focused on agentic architecture, human+AI workflows and enabling fast, well-founded development decisions with deep methodology research.

Agentic Tooling Lab - Ensuring market-ready AI and agentic solutions are optimized for adoption and effectiveness instead of reinventing existing tools.

As an Agentic AI Engineer, you will directly contribute to this initiative, working alongside AI researchers, engineers, and business stakeholders to create scalable and impactful AI solutions.
What will your day look like?

As part of the Agentic AI Lab, you'll be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing intelligent multi-agent systems that tackle complex, real-world challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing, developing and deploying multi-agent AI systems
  • Building and optimizing agentic workflows for real-world applications that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating across teams-from AI engineers to business architects-to conceptualize and implement cutting-edge AI solutions.
  • Refining agentic reasoning steps, process logging, and system performance to ensure robust, explainable, and scalable agent behaviour.
  • Architecting and deploying agentic AI solutions while ensuring scalability, reliability, and ethical considerations.
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the Agentic AI Lab by identifying new opportunities for agentic applications.
  • Defining and documenting design processes, system architectures, and best practices for knowledge-sharing and future development.
  • Staying up to date with the latest advancements in agentic AI and incorporate cutting-edge techniques into development workflows.
What do you bring to the table?

We're looking for someone who's both highly technical and deeply curious, with a passion for exploring the frontiers of AI autonomy.

You should have:
  • Strong expertise in agentic AI and foundation models, ideally with experience developing and testing multi-agent systems.
  • Experience and learnings using agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, SmolAgents, and AutoGen.
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML systems in production, preferably agentic/multi-agent settings.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python (Must), Java (or similar languages), with a focus in AI/ML frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of agentic AI concepts, including reasoning processes, process logging, optimisation, reinforcement learning, autonomous systems, and distributed AI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps for automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
It is a plus if you have experience with:
  • Publications or open-source contributions in agentic AI, multi-agent systems, or autonomous AI.
  • Understanding ethical considerations and best practices in deploying AI systems.
Why join us?
  • Work at the cutting edge of agentic AI-beyond chatbots, we're building real-world AI-driven autonomy.
  • Be part of a dynamic and innovative team at the forefront of AI research and development.
  • Make an impact-your work will directly shape the future of AI-driven collaboration and automation.
  • Grow your expertise in one of AI's fastest-growing fields, with opportunities for professional development.
  • Competitive salary and benefits in a forward-thinking and supportive environment.
Join us in defining the next era of intelligent AI agents!
