The Clinical Neurophysiology Department provides a responsive service of Neurophysiological studies for adults and children of all ages as out-patients, as well as an active in-patient service which includes referrals from the adult, liver, paediatrics, neonatal, trauma and neuro-intensive care units. Due to the locations of these team this would include working off-site at the various associated hospitals and institutions.
Main duties of the job
We currently require a fully qualified Senior Clinical Physiologist, with significant post-qualification experience, who is willing to take challenge & responsibility to work in a busy department undertaking all the modalities of Neurophysiology testing which will include EEG (ambulant/non-ambulant/portable); Telemetry, Nerve Conduction studies; all modalities of Evoked Potentials. Experience in intensive care monitoring would be an advantage but not essential.
The successful candidate would be expected to work as part of a team for the day-to-day running of the department, and to liaise with the existing Sub-specialty Clinical Physiologist and undertake out-of-hours emergency in patient work, as part of the on-call rota (which includes weekends and Bank holidays).
- The candidate must have a degree qualification in BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification.
- You should demonstrate good verbal/written and oral communication skills, with competency and fluency of the English language.
