Housekeeper
location: Hungerford, Berkshire
Accommodation: Optional 1-2 bedroom cottage separate from the main house (partners and well-behaved pets considered)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 (DOE) per annum
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 18:30, with flexibility for 2 weekends / month
Start Date: ASAP Achieve Hospitality is delighted to be assisting a warm and dynamic family of five in their search for an experienced Senior Housekeeper to oversee the daily care and presentation of their impressive residence in Berkshire.
This is a hands-on, highly responsible position that requires energy, confidence, and discretion. As the sole housekeeper, you will work closely with the nanny and estate staff to ensure the smooth running of the household and the highest standards of service at all times.
The Senior Housekeeper will take full ownership of maintaining immaculate cleanliness and organisation throughout the home, while also managing wardrobe care, occasional light PA support, and select formal duties such as welcoming guests and serving refreshments. The role also requires a strong presence in the kitchen, with the ability to prepare family meals when required.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, polished, and exceptionally detail-oriented, bringing both professionalism and warmth to this busy household. Responsibilities:
Maintain immaculate upkeep of all interiors to the highest standard
Manage laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care, including delicate and luxury fabrics
Oversee household organisation, stock management, and occasional errands
Prepare family meals as required
Create and maintain fresh flower arrangements
Liaise with household staff, estate team, and external contractors
Assist with the basic care of the family’s spaniel
Provide occasional support for events and visiting guests Candidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience within similar HNW households
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
Discreet, trustworthy, and confident working independently
Flexible, proactive, and service-oriented attitude
Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of a large property
Skilled in cooking family meals and assisting with entertaining
Knowledgeable in high-end cleaning products and specialist techniques
Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to commute daily if living out Benefits:

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 (negotiable, depending on experience)
