Business Development Representative

Role Overview
For this role, we are looking for an interest in social media, AI, a basic understanding of marketing as well as a can-do will-do attitude. This role will be interfacing with future Pulsar clients, so this person must be personable, confident and used to speaking with a wide range of people, with a wide range of interests.
This is a sales role and therefore we want someone who loves selling, enjoys competition and can push on through hard times.
The role of the “BDR” sits within the Pulsar commercial function and its primary focus is to source new business targets for a Business Development Manager to take into a sales process and ultimately turn into subscribing Pulsar clients. This lead development is largely done through cold outreach, working inbound leads and networking.
You will be working under guidance from your Business Development Manager, but you will be responsible for generating your own leads through your own research, and managing the process of scheduling in demos that have been confirmed. Our clients include:
H&M, Amazon, Google, Microsoft,, Publicis and Omnicom, and your role will be to help expand to this list of amazing clients and brands.

Key Responsibilities
• Generating sales opportunities through targeted outreach e.g. calls, emails and LinkedIn and working from lists within our Salesforce CRM system, and through follow up of targeted outbound marketing campaigns.
• Conduct basic research on the company and decision-making unit in order to target your approach.
• Carrying out basic level needs analysis on the phone to establish key areas of interest and obtaining an understanding of an organisation’s communications objectives.
• Developing and maintaining a high level of understanding of the Company’s product portfolio and value proposition and talking about these in context.
• Gaining knowledge of the competitive landscape and using this to the company’s advantage to overcome objections and book high quality meetings.
• Keeping the CRM system up to date with all details of prospects including good quality, detailed notes about each prospect’s current set up and incumbent renewal dates
• Using CRM information to manage and prioritise pipeline and to target senior decision makers.
• Manage and utilise AI SDR tools to help support your outreach efforts by building specific, targeted campaigns to wider audiences

Profile
• Able and willing to do cold calling
Strong written skills for email and LinkedIn messaging
Comfortable using LLMs for automating the heavy lifting
Ambitious and interested in a long-term career in sales.
Dynamic, confident and target driven self-starter.
Articulate with an excellent telephone manner.
Persuasive and persistent yet friendly and personable.
Able to take initiative to research contact and organisation information.
Naturally organised and able to prioritise effectively
Experience using tools such as Cognism, Salesloft, Salesforce, Lusha and 11x would be a plus

Base salary up to £30,000 dependent on experience, plus OTE commission of up to £20,000 per annum
