The Opportunity & Role Profile
This leading Barnet school is seeking a meticulous Science Technician. You will play a vital role in the Science department, ensuring that practical lessons are delivered safely and efficiently. We are specifically looking for candidates with a strong technical background in Physics or Chemistry laboratory environments.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Technical Preparation: Setting up complex apparatus for Physics (mechanics, electricity) or Chemistry (titrations, reagents) for GCSE and A-Level.
Safety & Compliance: Maintaining chemical and equipment inventories in strict accordance with CLEAPSS and COSHH guidelines.
Lab Management: Performing regular equipment safety checks and managing the hazardous waste disposal process.

Essential Requirements: Prior experience in a school laboratory or a scientific background in Physics/Chemistry.
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (£25,000–£30,000 per annum).
