Job description
Exceptional Opportunity – Derivatives & Structured Finance Lawyer
I’m working with a top-tier international law firm that’s looking to strengthen its market-leading Derivatives and Structured Finance team . This is an outstanding chance for a talented lawyer to work on high-profile, complex matters with some of the biggest names in the financial world.
The Role
You’ll advise on the full spectrum of derivatives and structured products, covering:
- OTC derivatives (credit, commodity, FX, equity, fund, interest rate, insurance-linked)
- Structured financing (margin loans, TRS, strategic equity transactions)
- Securities financing (repo, stock lending, structured repo over liquid & illiquid assets)
- Negotiating futures, prime brokerage, clearing, custody and collateral agreements
- Advising on distressed investments, CDS settlement issues, and regulatory risk (including EMIR & SFTR)
The team also works closely with the firm’s structured credit, securitisation and energy/project finance practices—offering exposure to highly structured cross-practice deals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong derivatives experience (OTC, structured products, financing transactions)
- Exposure to securitisation, structured finance or energy/project finance is a plus
- Background in private practice, or in-house at a bank, hedge fund or financial institution
Why This Role?
You’ll be joining a partner who has a rare blend of private practice and in-house investment bank experience—offering clients (and you) an unrivalled perspective across buy-side and sell-side matters. The client base is impressive, including major global banks, corporates, funds, pension schemes and energy players.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-performing team, gain exposure to cutting-edge transactions, and accelerate your career in derivatives and structured finance.
If this sounds like the right move for you, let’s set up a confidential conversation.
