Want to be part of this unique story? Aramark UK have an incredible opportunity for a skilled and team focused Sous Chef to join the team at Wimbledon Football Club.
AFC Wimbledon is a club with an interesting history, having been formed by supporters of the old Wimbledon FC in 2002 after their club was relocated 60 miles north to Milton Keynes, becoming MK Dons. The new Plough Lane is the most recent instalment of that story. Only opening in November 2020, it is one of the newest stadiums in the country, with it hosting 9125 fans per matchday, the mission is to set the standard for excellence and create exceptional experiences for the Dons and non-matchday visitors to the site.
Reporting to the Head Chef on site, the Sous Chef at Wimbledon Football Club is responsible for ensuring that all our premium dining offerings are delivered with the highest standards of health and safety, quality, creativity and consistency on both matchday and non-match day dining operations.
This is a full time and permanent position which will be based on site and requires working 5 days over 7.

A day in the life of a Sous Chef:
- Support the Head Chef in planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality food across all premium stadium areas.
- Assist with menu input, system creation, kitchen setup, and logistics coordination to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure consistent food quality and strict compliance with UK food safety standards, including temperature checks, allergen awareness, and hygiene protocols.
- Oversee stock ordering, usage, and waste recording, ensuring efficient and sustainable kitchen practices.
- Maintain adherence to COSHH, accident reporting, fire safety, and stadium-wide health and safety policies.
- Collaborate with management to build a high-performing kitchen team, ensuring all staff are trained to Aramark standards and motivated to deliver excellence.
You'll be set up for success if you have:
- A naturally confident leader to inspire a large kitchen team to deliver results
- Ability to communicate effectively between front and back of house teams
- Positive and passionate focus on food – a natural flare for hospitality
- Experience of working in a similar environment at a similar level
