Skills and Competencies
- Strong expertise in data strategy, governance, and management, with the ability to balance compliance requirements with practical innovation.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to and delivering data strategies, frameworks, and operating models that support measurable business outcomes.
- Sound commercial acumen, with experience supporting vendor evaluation, selection, and ongoing partnership management.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align interests, and build support for initiatives.
- Experience leading and contributing to cross-functional teams within complex, matrixed global organizations.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, resolve stakeholder issues thoughtfully, and remain resilient in dynamic settings.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (Master’s preferred) in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or Statistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support alignment between enterprise data strategy and segment and product strategies to enable business growth.
- Gather, synthesize, and help prioritize segment needs, ensuring inputs inform enterprise data strategy and investment discussions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and the Chief Data Office to shape and deliver elements of Moody’s Analytics’ data strategy across segments.
- Represent commercial segment perspectives, ensuring client needs and market feedback inform data priorities and solutions.
- Translate market and client insights into data strategy inputs, supporting the development of investment cases tied to commercial outcomes.
- Act as a key advisor to senior stakeholders, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Identify risks and propose pragmatic solutions that balance commercial opportunity, regulatory requirements, and operational considerations.
- Promote a data-driven culture by embedding best practices for prioritization, governance, and execution.
- Contribute to horizon scanning for emerging data sources, tools, and technologies, providing informed recommendations to leadership.
- Work closely with data governance and technology partners to translate customer and segment needs into consistent enterprise policies and practices.
