Secondary Education Recruitment Manager - London
The role is for a Secondary education recruitment manager to join an established teacher supply agency in Central London
You will be working for a leading agency that supplies teachers and support staff to schools across the UK from their office in London
There is a warm and friendly culture and a welcoming office atmosphere with 40+ employees
The salary is up to £60,000 basic negotiable depending on experience plus commission
You will be leading a strong team of 3 recruiters, each with different levels of experience, the team is doing very well against targets
This isn’t a typical recruitment role, as you will also be advising schools and demonstrating educational booking technology (Edtech) they use when booking teachers. The tech also allows candidates to choose what assignments they want, update their availability, and decide from a choice of possibilities what roles and schools to work at
Using online booking technology isn’t a new thing, with more and more agencies using it to streamline the process of hiring teachers, getting candidates compliant, and organising their desks.
As a secondary Branch manager, you will lead from the front, with an expectation to run a desk and bear full responsibility for the Secondary team. You will be involved in budget forecasts, P&L, training, and staff development, and working alongside the Senior Management Team to work collectively to drive the company forward
There is a full back-office support team covering administration, compliance and HR
The role is hybrid with 1 day a week working from home. Hours are 7- 5 with shorter, reduced hours during the school holidays.
Part of your role will involve going on visits and demonstrating how the booking technology works with schools and candidates, it’s very intuitive and easy to pick up and can be used with a phone or laptop.
Once schools are accustomed to the tech you will soon find your role becomes more account management as schools can search through available candidates, upload their recruitment needs, and have full control over the hiring process. Timesheets, compliance, documentation, and teacher references are all on the app.
This is a forward-thinking agency always with one eye on the future and looking at how they can improve the service they provide to schools and candidates. There are no KPI’s, targets are unrealistic. You will be given a great deal of autonomy to run your team with support and guidance to help you be successful
You will have lots of hands-on support from your line manager and various departments within the group.
For this role, you must have experience in education recruitment.
