A lovely Portuguese family based in Chelsea, London, is seeking a Junior Nanny to help care for their two young children, aged 1.5 and 3 years old.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of childcare experience and will speak fluent English. Portuguese would be a bonus. Someone warm, reliable, creative, and confident supporting toddlers and pre-school-aged children would be ideal for this role.

The junior nanny will be responsible for keeping the children entertained with creative and developmental activities, helping them get washed and dressed, preparing their dinner, and supporting their daily routines.

The 3-year-old attends nursery, and the youngest child also attends nursery until 12:00. The nursery is just a short walk from the family home, so no driving or public transport will be required.

The role will also include light housekeeping duties related to the children and cooking for the children. No travel or driving will be required for this role.

A valid first aid certification is required for this role.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, either 8:30 to 18:30, around 45 to 50 hours per week, or 12:00 to 18:30, around 33 hours per week

Duties include:

• caring for two children, aged 1.5 and 3 years old
• supporting the children’s daily routines
• helping the children get washed and dressed
• planning creative and developmental activities
• keeping the children entertained and engaged
• supporting nursery routines
• walking to and from nursery
• preparing dinner for the children
• cooking meals for the children
• carrying out light housekeeping duties related to the children
• keeping the children’s areas clean, tidy, and organised
• ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and development

The family is looking for someone who can start on 25 August 2026.
