Core Subject Tutor – Secondary School Location: Enfield Start Date: ASAP / Next Term Contract: Full-time / Part-time (flexible) Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience) A forward-thinking secondary school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Core Subject Tutor to support students across English, Maths and/or Science. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator or graduate passionate about raising attainment and supporting learners who need additional academic help. The Role As a Core Subject Tutor, you will: Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group tuition in core subjects Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to close gaps in learning Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff Help build students’ confidence, motivation and study skills The School Offers A supportive and well-structured secondary school environment Clear intervention strategies and strong leadership support Opportunities for ongoing training and professional development A diverse and inclusive school community The Ideal Candidate You will: Have strong subject knowledge in English, Maths and/or Science Have experience working with secondary-aged students (desirable) Be patient, organised and adaptable in your approach Be passionate about supporting student progress and achievement This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced tutors, or qualified teachers seeking a focused intervention role within secondary education.
