A well-established secondary school in Lambeth is seeking an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to join its senior leadership team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to take responsibility for the operational, financial, and administrative leadership of a busy and high-performing school.
The school is committed to maintaining high standards across all aspects of its provision, and the School Business Manager will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
The Role
Leading on financial management, budgeting, and long-term financial planning
Overseeing HR processes including recruitment, contracts, and compliance
Managing premises, facilities, and health & safety in collaboration with site staff
Ensuring effective administrative systems and operational efficiency
Supporting strategic planning alongside the Headteacher and senior leaders
Overseeing contracts, procurement, and service-level agreements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Significant experience in school business or financial management
Strong knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and compliance requirements
Experience managing HR and operational functions
Excellent organisational and leadership skills
Strong financial literacy and analytical ability
A strategic, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
