Payments Operations Executive
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in Central London office)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Our client is an established global fintech with an ambitious growth agenda.
They blend advanced technology with deep industry expertise to create innovative, reliable, and high-performance solutions for their customers worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of their ongoing innovation and growth — shaping the next chapter of success for a trusted industry leader in a rapidly-expanding market with huge opportunity for personal and company growth.
The Role
As a Payments Operations Executive, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payment processing across multiple global rails — eg. SWIFT, Faster Payments, SEPA, cards, and local schemes.
Working closely with other team members and subject matter experts, you will play a key role in:
• Processing daily inbound and outbound payments on time, with absolute accuracy and attention to detail.
• Monitoring payment flows in real time, identifying and resolving delays or errors promptly by working with banks, processors, and internal teams.
• Investigating and resolving payment exceptions — such as rejects, chargebacks, duplicates, and missing transactions.
• Reconciling transactions to bank accounts and internal systems, supporting liquidity management to ensure seamless payment runs.
• Ensuring full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (AML, sanctions, approval rules) and escalating any anomalies.
• Producing operational reports, maintaining procedures, and suggesting innovative automation or process improvements to drive efficiency.
About You:
You’ll thrive here if you’re naturally analytical, calm under pressure, and take pride in precision. This role suits someone who enjoys solving problems, digging into data, and making payments work flawlessly behind the scenes.
Essential:
• Strong numeracy and proven comfort working with data
• Inquisitive, ambitious, and eager to learn
• Excellent communication skills for working cross functionally
Desirable:
• Experience in payments operations or a related area within fintech or financial services
• A degree in a numerate, analytical, or business related discipline
Why Apply
You’ll join in a dynamic period of growth, with real scope to influence how payment operations evolve across the company. If you’re someone who wants to learn fast, contribute meaningfully, and grow with an innovative fintech, this is an opportunity to make your mark.
