Senior Sales Executive – Education Portfolio
Hybrid: Herne Hill, 3 days in the office
Salary: Up to £32,000, depending on experience and company benefits .
Commission: circa £10,000 uncapped commission
Contract: Permanent, full-time

As Senior Sales Executive, you will play a key role in driving media sales and building strong client partnerships across our education portfolio, on two sector leading brands ; Nursery World and Children & Young People Now. You will be helping to grow trusted brands that support professionals working across children’s services and education, combining commercial energy with work that has real purpose and impact.
This is a brilliant opportunity if you are looking to build your career in sales and take the next step into a role with ownership and autonomy . You will be speaking with senior stakeholders of sector leading organisations, working with them to create media campaigns across multiple channels including print, digital, content-led solutions and events and will quickly see the the impact of your work. You will be encouraged to share ideas, build your confidence, and develop your commercial skills in a fast-moving media environment.
What you’ll be doing
You will:
Generate new business across Nursery World and Children & Young People Now, focusing on digital and content-led solutions including podcast sponsorship, webinars and whitepapers, alongside print, events and awards sponsorship.
Manage and grow existing client accounts, building strong and lasting relationships.
Identify opportunities to create tailored advertising and sponsorship solutions that meet client needs.
Stay close to market trends and competitor activity to inform your sales approach and stay ahead in the market.
Take responsibility for achieving and exceeding revenue targets across your portfolio.
Must-haves:
Successful sales experience in a business development, new business, sales and account management role.
Drive and ambition to build an impactful career in media sales.
Confidence engaging with clients at all levels, from small businesses to industry leading organisations.
A proactive mindset with the drive to exceed targets and take on new challenges.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
A can-do attitude, adaptability and genuine enthusiasm for selling across multiple platforms.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively.
Willingness to learn quickly and develop within a fast-moving media environment.
Nice-to-haves:
An interest in the education or children’s services sector.
Experience selling multi-platform media solutions including print, digital, events or awards.
