We are looking for a Survey, Data and Tender (SD&T) Assistant to work alongside our Survey and Tender (S&T) Manager to support the Nature Team at Greengage.
You’ll help to schedule surveys, identify equipment requirements, prepare tender responses and quotation letters, and effectively manage data.
Key Responsibilities
• Working closely with the S&T Manager to manage surveys, tenders and quotations.
• Assisting with the scheduling of surveys by contacting staff, subcontractors and casual staff and providing them with the information needed to complete surveys.
• Hiring and off-hiring cars and survey equipment.
• Booking hotels, events and travel for the Nature Team.
• Reviewing system folders and the project management system, and identifying project and training needs.
• Inspecting survey equipment, ensuring it’s in a good state of repair and set up ready for the next use.
• Organising the transport and servicing of equipment and retrieving and managing survey data as needed.
• Ensuring that data is effectively managed, including downloading data from survey equipment (cameras and bat detectors) in accordance with Greengage’s data handling procedures.
• Registering quotation and tender enquiries on the Greengage system and providing an initial response.
• Drafting quotation responses and fee estimates for review and approval by a member of the Nature Team.
• Helping to manage the survey schedule and provide onboarding material, site information and other data as required.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in ecological consultancy and/or consultancy-based administration, and an understanding of survey types.
Skills and attributes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience of Google Forms would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisation, problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Passion for the natural environment.
Full training on Greengage’s systems and processes will be provided.
