Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Catering Lounge Supervisor to lead the staff canteen operation on a full-time basis (40 hours per week). You will ensure high-quality food service, strong hygiene standards, and smooth day-to-day operations while leading and developing a motivated team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily staff canteen operations, ensuring smooth service delivery
  • Lead, train, and support kitchen and front-of-house teams
  • Work with chefs to deliver varied menus, including dietary requirements
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and H&S compliance (HACCP standards)
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
  • Support budgeting and cost control to drive efficiency
  • Respond to staff feedback and maintain excellent service standards
  • Coordinate staffing and service flow during peak/off-peak periods
  • Support team development and performance management
  • Introduce ideas to improve service and enhance staff experience
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a similar catering or hospitality supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience in stock, cost control, and budgeting
  • Passion for great food and staff wellbeing
Desirable
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to gain)
  • Experience in large-scale catering or venue environments
  • Knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements
