About the Role
The Site Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, safety, and security of the school site. You will work closely with the caretaker, administrative staff, and teaching teams to ensure the premises are fully operational and welcoming.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and facilities.
Performing minor repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Supporting the security of the site, including monitoring access points and alarms.
Assisting with setting up facilities for events, assemblies, and school activities.
Reporting issues or required repairs to senior staff or contractors.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and fire safety procedures.
Supporting cleaning and organisation of shared spaces when needed.
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience in site management, maintenance, or caretaking preferred.
Basic practical and DIY skills for minor repairs and upkeep.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
