The Role
The school is seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join its administrative team.
The reception area is the first point of contact for visitors, parents and students, making this a highly visible and important role within the school. The successful candidate will ensure the front office operates smoothly while providing a friendly and efficient service to everyone who visits or contacts the school.
This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and external agencies
Greeting visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
Managing incoming phone calls and email enquiries
Supporting the administration team with general clerical duties
Maintaining visitor logs and reception records
Assisting with student enquiries and directing them to appropriate staff
Supporting school events and meetings with administrative assistance
Ensuring the reception area remains organised and welcoming
Person Specification
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Confidence using office software and administrative systems
A friendly and professional approach
The ability to remain calm and efficient in a busy environment
A commitment to supporting the school community
Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role would be advantageous.
