The role

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Head of Finance will ensure strong financial control, deliver high-quality reporting, and provide rigorous financial analysis. The role is central to maintaining a disciplined finance function while driving performance, efficiency, and transparency across all areas of financial management, including supporting the annual budget process.

The ideal candidate posses deep financial control expertise, along with the drive and capability to lead, develop, and expand the team.

Financial Reporting & Control

• Oversea the month-end reporting process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.

• Strengthen financial controls, processes, and automation across the finance function.

• Review all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness and integrity.

• Deliver high-quality management reporting, including KPIs, margin and cost analysis, and performance insights.

• Coordinate and manage interactions with auditors throughout the year-end close.

Cash & Working Capital Management

• Produce and maintain reliable cashflow forecasts.

• Oversee cashflow reporting and management of stock, debtors, creditors, and overall working capital.

• Identify opportunities to optimise working capital and improve cash conversion.

FP&A & Commercial Insight

• Conduct detailed commercial financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Provide recommendations to senior leadership based on data-driven insight.

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and performance trends.

• Partner with key functions (Retail, E-commerce, Operations, Wholesale, Merchandising) to understand drivers and support commercial initiatives.

• Confident presenting insights and recommendations to Finance Director, Co-Founders, Trading Directors, and other senior stakeholders.

Operational Cost & Efficiency

• Lead analysis and understanding of operational costs across the business.

• Provide detailed reporting and insight on 3PL costs, inbound freight, outbound freight, and logistics-related expenditure.

• Conduct deep dives on operational cost lines to identify efficiency opportunities.

• Support and help implement cost-focused process changes and operational improvements.

• Work closely with 3PL and merchandising team to ensure full visibility of drivers and accountability for cost performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

• Proven 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles across both Financial Control and FP&A.

• Experience in end-to-end ownership of P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, and working
  capital.

• Excellent analytical capability with the ability to translate data into meaningful recommendations.

• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, enhance controls, and drive automation.

• Confident communicator able to operate at all levels of the organisation.

• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
