What you'll be doing:
Working across a variety of different technologies and software, you will be responsible for escalations from 1st line support teams, as well as the service request team. The role of an Incident Engineer within Iomart is extremely varied, with no two days the same. Among many things, you will take care of everything from server configuration and network support to managing backups and monitoring networks and servers. We want to hear from you if you:
- Have experience working with Windows, Linux, VMWare and Citrix
- Have strong technical customer support or helpdesk experience
- Have an understanding of Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, IIS, Active Directory
- Have a good knowledge of firewalls (Cisco and/or Barracuda)
- Have a good understanding of networking basics, load balancers and security services
- Are able to work shifts (this role is a 4 on/4 off rotational day shift)
