Content Executive

Higherin
London

The Role 🛼

This is a hybrid role for a content-first creative looking to bring Higherin’s brand and client stories to life across social, video and email. Working within the Content and Strategy team and reporting to the Content and Strategy Lead, you will gain experience across all stages of content production, from filming and photography to editing mobile-first video and creating engaging social assets. You will manage community activity, support paid social campaigns, and use platform trends and campaign insight to improve content performance. Beyond production, you will contribute to market research and Higherin Academy marketing, collaborating closely with internal teams and partners. This role offers the chance to develop a broad skill set and work across multiple content formats while building expertise in digital content creation.

Our Clients 💕

Our customers are companies that provide early talent schemes, including apprenticeships, internships, and placements. We elevate their brands and deliver campaigns through our unmatched university networks.

Our Audience 🎟️

Our audience is young people aged 13-24, comprised of mostly school leavers and university students. Our vision is to empower every young person to discover and succeed in their dream career. Our mission is to build a trusted community that supports young people throughout their entire early career journey, whilst guiding leading employers to hire exceptional talent.

Core Responsibilities 🍏

Social Media & Content Production

  • Support the planning and delivery of filming and photography shoots and university campus events and employer offices

  • Edit mobile-first video content post-event to create high-quality social media assets

  • Create primarily video-led social content, with static assets where required

  • Contribute creative ideas for video content to support client shot lists and content plans

  • Support social media production across Higherin's internal channels

  • Review social media and campaign assets to ensure quality, brand alignment and platform best practice

  • Support the setup and monitoring of paid social activity, including social boosting on client accounts

  • Stay up to date with social platform trends, algorithm changes, emerging features and Gen Z digital behaviour to inform content creation

  • Support reporting and insight generation across stakeholder accounts (including follower growth, engagement trends and paid social performance)

Market Research

  • Conduct market and brand research to inform strategic content decisions, including writing, building and distributing surveys, and conducting focus groups

Marketing

  • Support the marketing of Higherin Academy, including writing, building and sending marketing emails

  • Coordinate with third-party partners to support marketing campaigns, including briefing assets, copy and campaign setup

  • Work with members of the marketing team to support recruitment marketing initiatives

Community Management

  • Manage day-to-day community activity across client social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and replying to DMs

You are right for this role if you bring... ✅

  • A strong command of written and spoken English, able to produce clear, accurate and engaging copy for social media, email and digital channels.

  • Experience creating short-form, mobile-first video content for social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram or YouTube Shorts, gained through personal projects, university work, internships or paid roles.

  • An active interest in and passion for social media and content creation, with a good sense of what performs well across different platforms.

  • Demonstrable creativity, with the ability to generate ideas for video-led and social-first content and contribute to content plans and shot lists.

  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly, adapt to feedback, and develop new skills as the role evolves.

  • Comfort with working collaboratively across teams, contributing to shared projects and supporting wider marketing and client priorities.

  • A proactive approach to work, taking ownership of tasks and moving activity forward without constant direction.

  • Strong communication skills, able to listen, understand requirements, and respond clearly and appropriately to colleagues, clients and partners.

  • Good organisational and project management skills, able to manage your own time effectively, juggle multiple priorities, and deliver to deadlines.

  • The ability to build productive working relationships with internal teams, university contacts, employers and third-party partners.

Amazing (but not essential) if you have... 💭

  • Professional experience producing short-form video content in a paid role.

  • Experience using social media scheduling, community management or analytics tools.

  • Experience supporting filming or photography at events, campuses or workplaces.

  • An understanding of Gen Z digital behaviour and current social platform trends.

  • Exposure to campaign reporting, insight generation or basic performance analysis.

  • The ability to spot opportunities, apply transferable skills from other roles or projects, and help shape processes within a new and growing team.

  • An interest in student marketing, early careers or education-focused campaigns.
