An efficient and proactive School Administrator is required for an immediate start at a high-achieving girls' secondary school in Haringey. This is a full-time, temporary position, ideal for a methodical professional who can provide seamless support to the school's front office and leadership team.
The administrative hub is the engine of this school, and the successful candidate will be expected to maintain high standards of accuracy while handling the daily logistical demands of a busy educational environment.
The Role
Administrative Support: Providing comprehensive clerical assistance to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and teaching staff, including letter writing, filing, and report preparation.
Data Management: Utilizing school information systems (such as SIMS or Bromcom) to maintain accurate student records, attendance data, and admissions information.
Communication: Serving as a primary point of contact for parents and external agencies, managing phone enquiries and the school’s central email correspondence with professionalism.
Admissions & Transitions: Supporting the administrative side of student enrolments, including the processing of applications and organizing induction materials.
Financial Administration: Assisting with basic financial tasks such as processing invoices, managing school trip payments, and monitoring petty cash.
Compliance: Ensuring all documentation and visitor procedures adhere to the school’s strict safeguarding and GDPR policies.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Experience: Proven experience in a school administrative role or a fast-paced office environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); prior experience with school-specific databases is highly desirable.
Precision: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
Interpersonal Skills: A polished and empathetic communication style, capable of dealing with sensitive situations involving students and families.
