Learning Support Assistant in Westminster

You can make a difference to children's lives and development - kick off your career as a Learning Support Assistant in a Westminster primary school with an immediate start!
As a full-time LSA, you will be:
- Supporting children with SEND to reach their full potential and access the full curriculum
- Planning and delivering a number of intervention programmes to children either 1:1 or in small groups, monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders
- Providing support for key children to help them reach the targets on their EHCPs
- Assisting with the delivery of a diverse and stimulating curriculum to children of all abilities
- Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis or in small groups where necessary
- Ensuring a safe and supportive class environment where each child is able to thrive and feels inspired and encouraged
- Providing support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy
- Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities
- Working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm
This is a full-time and long-term Learning Support Assistant role to work term-time only, and is due to last until the end of the academic year in July, with the possibility for the role to become permanent thereafter. There are also chances for career progression within this school, and as it is an ongoing role for the rest of the school year, you will be able to see how your key children progress and develop across the year as a result of your support.
