Bank Laundry Assistant

As a  Laundry/Domestic Assistant  at our  Park Avenue Care Home in Bromley ,   you will be part of a compassionate and welcoming team. Along with the rest of the Housekeeping Team, you would ensure that the care home is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and is safe, comfortable, and welcoming for the people living in our care home.

• Salary: £12.85 per hour
• Days: Saturday & Sunday
• Hours: 07:30am-2:30pm Zero hour contract

About the role:

• To manage the laundry procedures and put through required laundry, preventing unnecessary build-up.
• To ensure that bundles of laundry are identified for the staff to load and unload into the washers and dryers.
• To be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the daily de-fluffing of the dryers, reporting any defects to the Head of Home.
• To distribute clothes to our residents' rooms.
• To ensure the correct marking of residents' clothes.
• To keep the laundry room clean and tidy and in a hygienic condition.
• To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
• To work in co-operation with the Head of Home in maintaining an efficient laundry service for all service users.
• To manage the laundry throughout under Health and Safety best practices, paying special attention to cross-infection.
• To identify and report and areas of malfunction or damage to equipment, in accordance with the company's Maintenance reporting procedure.
• To maintain the general cleanliness of the laundry, through identified and agreed work schedules.
• To adhere to and maintain the company's policies and procedures.
