Senior Compliance & Quality Control Manager
- Manage end-to-end food import operations, ensuring products comply with UK and EU food safety and labelling regulations.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers, brand owners, and distributors on product selection and shipment arrangements.
- Review product ingredients, documentation, and packaging for compliance with applicable standards.
- Prepare compliant product labels based on local market requirements.
- Arrange purchase orders and coordinate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery.
- Support customs documentation and clearance processes.
- Stay informed of food-related regulatory changes in the UK, Netherlands, Germany, and France.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (legal, operations, tax, logistics) and external regulatory contacts as needed.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in International Trade, Food Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in food import operations, with knowledge of UK and EU food compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with labelling and documentation requirements for imported food products.
- Understanding of relevant environmental and sustainability regulations (e.g. packaging waste, EPR).
- Experience handling customs processes and working with logistics service providers.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in additional languages (e.g. Mandarin Chinese) is a plus.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage cross-border workflows independently.
