What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing incoming telephone calls, emails, and general enquiries, ensuring they are handled efficiently.

  • Supporting attendance administration, pupil records, admissions, and general school data.

  • Using school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor to maintain accurate records.

  • Preparing letters, reports, and school communications using Microsoft Office.

  • Assisting with school events, trips, meetings, and diary management.

  • Supporting safeguarding procedures, including visitor sign-in and maintaining accurate records.

  • Providing general administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying, and document management.

  • Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, approachable, and enjoys working with children, families, and colleagues.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Able to prioritise tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor.

  • A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.

  • Professional, reliable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • A team player who is happy to support wherever needed.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.

  • Knowledge of school attendance, admissions, or safeguarding administration.

  • Experience using SIMS, Arbor, or other Management Information Systems.

Why Join This School?

You'll be joining a supportive and welcoming team that values collaboration, professionalism, and continuous development. The school offers:

  • A friendly and inclusive working environment.

  • Ongoing training and opportunities for professional development.

  • Supportive leadership and a collaborative team culture.

  • The opportunity to make a real difference to pupils, families, and the wider school community.

Safeguarding

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
