Managing Director within Education Recruitment - London
This is a position for a Managing Director for an education recruitment agency in London that has been firmly established for over 15 years
The basic salary is up to £300,000 and will have an additional bonus and commission scheme
The role is very “hands on” so you will work closely with all members of staff in the company along with the owners.
You will have directly under you an operations manager and all the team managers
This is a financially sound and established education recruitment agency built up over the last 15 years through ethical hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and investment in their staff. This has been reflected by receiving several industry-related awards
This role has several keys areas:
Business strategy
- Reviewing company key goals, purpose, and vision.
- Coordinating the development of the long-term Business Plan for all staff
- Provided strategic advice and guidance to the Board
- Monitor developments within the recruitment and education industry and ensure that the appropriate policies are developed to comply with all relevant statutory and other regulations.
- Recommendations to improve business performance are made
- Plans are effectively communicated throughout the organisation
- That plans are monitored against allocated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
Financial Management
- Financial Strategy and budgets required to deliver the Business plan
- Monitoring financial performance against the targets in the Business and Financial
- Representing the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments, and other key contacts
- annual report and accounts for the company are reviewed and summarised for the
- Financial targets are agreed upon with each member of the sales team
Resource Management
- Coordinating the development of Human Resources, Talent Management & Retention
- Managing the outsourced HR Support
- That there is effective recruitment and retention of the required numbers of staff
- All policies of the business are regularly updated
- Create a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and fun
- Expectations are clearly communicated to staff members, goals are realistic, measurable, monitored, rewarded, and acknowledged upon completion
Marketing/sales and business development
- Creating Business Development and Sales strategies
- Working closely with your manager and consultants encouraging them to share ideas and plans
- Developing a Social Media presence highlighting the company ethos and culture
- Overseeing the marketing and sales/business development
