Launched in 2021 by a team of Emmy award winning innovators with previous experience in sports technology, Bolt6 is a start-up dedicated to improving the experience of sport for everyone . Our products help to improve fan engagement, officiating acceptance, and drive commercial performance for sports leagues and federations.
We use cutting-edge technology to do a variety of amazing things with cameras and other data sources (all in real-time in the cloud), including:
- Tracking the 3D position of vehicles in elite motorsport (e.g. NASCAR);
- Skeletal tracking of athletes in a number of top level sports;
- Providing the platform for sports federations to make critical officiating decisions using video and other data.

Your impact
As Tennis Operations Lead , you will own the operational delivery of Bolt6’s products across the ATP Challenger Tour. This means ensuring smooth set-up and delivery at more than 100 tournaments worldwide each year, while managing a team of operations engineers and acting as the key point of contact for clients and internal teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will spend significant time on the ground at events (150+ travel days annually), setting up equipment, running cables, and working side by side with developers to refine and improve our technology.
Role Requirements
We are searching for motivated, driven and proactive individuals, who maintain incredibly high standards to deliver innovative solutions to sporting federations and broadcasters. The role will involve working closely with our customers and software engineering teams to deliver our products at sporting events around the world.
What you will do as an Operations Lead at Bolt6
- Oversee end-to-end delivery for ATP Challenger Tour events
- Travel extensively (150+ days per year) to manage on-site set-ups and live operations
- Install and configure hardware and software systems, including cameras, servers, and cabling
- Ensure all tournaments meet service and technology standards, and act as point of escalation when issues arise
Lead Operations Delivery
- Build strong relationships with federations, tournament organisers, and partners
- Ensure contractual service levels (CLAs) are consistently achieved
- Provide clear, well-structured reporting and documentation to stakeholders
- Line-manage and mentor operations engineers delivering on-site and remote support
- Lead training and documentation to raise standards across the team
- Ensure all team members are on top of their preparation for upcoming tournaments
Client & Partner Management
Team Leadership & Development
- Work closely with software developers to identify and implement improvements to systems
- Lead live testing and validation of new technology in real tennis environments
- Develop processes and tools to improve efficiency and reliability of delivery

What we are looking for
Required attributes:
- Proven experience in live operations, ideally in sports technology, broadcast, or live events
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for over 150 days per year
- Hands-on technical skills, including installing hardware and running cables
- Strong project and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Flexibility to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) aligned with tennis schedules

Location
Having started during the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of us work remotely from home. We also have an office in London (London Bridge), Southampton, Charlotte (North Carolina) and New York (Greenwich Village, Manhattan) for those that prefer office working.
