The Opportunity
Wayman Education is seeking a compassionate and academically rigorous Health and Social Care Teacher to join a dedicated department in Ealing . The Role
We are looking for an educator who can bridge the gap between classroom theory and frontline practice. You will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 , delivering a curriculum that explores human growth, health conditions, and the fundamental values of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Delivery: Teach core units such as Human Lifespan Development, Health and Social Care Services, and Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs.
Vocational Excellence: Lead on the delivery of BTEC Tech Awards and National Levels (or equivalent), ensuring all coursework and internal assessments meet high moderation standards.
Practical Application: Use real-world case studies and legislation, such as the Equality Act and Care Act, to deepen students' understanding of professional standards.
Engagement: Foster links with local Ealing care providers and health services to provide students with contemporary insights into the sector.

Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in a related field such as Nursing, Social Work, Sociology, or Health Studies .
Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at KS4 and KS5 (BTEC experience is highly desirable).
A passion for the subject and the ability to build strong, empathetic relationships with students.
Excellent organizational skills to manage the demands of vocational coursework and internal verification.
