✨Join Us at The Centre for ADHD Research & Excellence: Shaping the Future of Accessible Healthcare✨
At the Cresco Clinic (part of The Centre for ADHD Research & Excellence), we’re revolutionising ADHD care by making assessments and treatment more accessible for everyone.
With an established Adult Pathway already in place, we are excited to extend our services to Children and Young People (CYP). With a mission rooted in compassion, we’re building a service that puts young people and their guardians at the heart of everything we do.
This development reflects our ongoing commitment to a person-centred approach, guided by lean methodology and a focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Together, these principles drive our pursuit of excellence and ensure that every individual receives the highest standard of care.
With ambitious plans to expand our service, including the launch of an ASC pathway in 2026, we are committed to pushing boundaries and fostering innovation to achieve outstanding care.
Why Work With Us?
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Full Time Senior Prescriber to join our multidisciplinary ADHD team. This is a pivotal senior role, offering the opportunity to shape prescribing standards, mentor clinicians, and drive quality in an innovative, digital-first environment.
You will bring expertise in ADHD care and prescribing, specifically for children and young people, and a passion for developing safe, effective, and person-centred pathways. In addition to supporting with clinical duties in the CYP Clinical Care Hub, you will provide advice and supervision for the clinical team, as well as clinical education and training, and you will collaborate closely with senior colleagues to ensure a safe and effective service.
What You’ll Be Doing
Clinical Escalations & Advice
• Provide expert prescribing oversight and second-line reviews for complex or high-risk cases.
• Provide expert input on treatment planning to ensure interventions are personalised, clinically appropriate, and aligned with best practice.
• Act as the primary point of clinical escalation for prescribing/medication related complaints and incidents.
• Facilitate and lead regular multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings in partnership with other senior clinicians to support collaborative decision-making and shared learning.
Assessment, Triage & Prescribing Duties
• Clinically review, triage, and manage patients with complex presentations, ensuring safe, timely, and effective care pathways.
• Monitor prescribing safety and compliance with national guidelines and local protocols.
• Review diagnostic assessments and offer second opinions to maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy, consistency, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines, in collaboration with the Head of Clinical Care Hub.
• Demonstrating flexibility to meet the business’s needs by providing support with clinical duties as required.
Supervisions, Education and Training
• Deliver clinical supervision and mentorship to prescribing clinicians, promoting safe, reflective, and effective practice.
• Contribute to the organisation’s education and training programme through expert teaching, case-based learning, and clinical updates.
• Support with conducting regular quality assurance audits of prescribing records, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable feedback.
Governance & Strategy
• Support the development of a centralised prescribing model that is efficient, scalable, and person-centred.
• Support clinical risk management and take the lead on urgent escalations, risk assessments, and safeguarding concerns
• Support the Head of Clinical Care Hub and Clinical Director to drive initiatives to improve prescribing pathways, patient experience, and digital prescribing workflows.
• Participate in clinical governance activity, including audits, incident reviews, and policy updates.
• Collaborate with the Head of Clinical Care Hub and Clinical Director to maintain alignment between strategic goals and clinical quality.
A Day in the Life:
As a Senior Prescriber, your day begins by reviewing complex or high-risk prescribing queries raised by colleagues across the clinical CYP team. You may be called upon to provide a second opinion on a titration plan for a child or young person with co-occurring conditions, or offer clinical advice on physical health concerns affecting medication choice. Mid-morning might include delivering clinical supervision to a prescribing clinician - offering insight, reassurance, and evidence-based guidance to support safe, reflective practice.
After lunch, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting alongside the Head of Clinical Care Hub, where you help guide collaborative decisions on nuanced cases and promote shared learning across the team. Later in the day, you might audit a set of prescribing records, identify learning themes, and begin drafting a short teaching session for the next team CPD session.
Throughout it all, you’ll stay connected to colleagues, whether remotely or from our Canary Wharf office, contribute to service development discussions with the Clinical Director and Head of Clinical Care Hub, and help shape how safe, person-centred prescribing is delivered across our digital-first CYP service.
