The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will be the face and voice of our garage. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless and positive experience for every customer. From the initial booking to the final handover, your professionalism and clear communication will be key to our success.

Key Responsibilities:

Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.

Listening to customers' descriptions of vehicle issues and accurately translating them into detailed job cards for our technicians.

Providing clear, concise, and accurate estimates for repair and maintenance work.

Proactively keeping customers informed about the progress of their vehicle, including any additional work required.

Obtaining customer authorisation for all work and ensuring they understand the costs involved.

Scheduling service and repair appointments, managing the workshop diary to optimise workflow.

Ordering necessary parts from suppliers and ensuring they arrive in a timely manner.

Preparing and processing invoices, taking payments, and handling all related administrative tasks.

Handling customer queries and resolving any issues with empathy and efficiency to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced individual who thrives in a busy environment and has a genuine passion for customer care. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential: Proven experience as a Service Advisor in a garage or dealership setting. Experience within an independent garage is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information to customers in an easy-to-understand way.

Strong organisational and time-management abilities.

A professional and positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.

Good IT literacy and experience with garage management software (e.g., Autowork Online, Garage Hive, or similar).
