An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in the London Borough of Brent is seeking a committed EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in Nursery and Reception.

The Role
You will provide targeted support to children with a range of needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing needs, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
Your role will help children to:
Engage with learning and play
Develop communication and social skills
Manage emotions and behaviour
Develop independence and confidence
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised SEN support in line with EHCPs
Support access to the EYFS curriculum
Implement strategies advised by the SENCo and external professionals
Use visual aids, routines, and sensory resources
Encourage positive behaviour and inclusion
Support with personal care and hygiene when necessary
Observe, record, and report on progress
Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures
Person Specification
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in EYFS
Is calm, patient, and compassionate
Has strong communication and teamwork skills
Is committed to inclusion and safeguarding
Is eager to develop professionally
