Role Overview
LEGO Digital Play’s Platform Technology team is shaping the future of online creativity by taking inspiration from LEGO Brand’s “system in play,” and reimagining it for the future. Our platform is built on a foundation of safety that will ultimately “inspire the builders of tomorrow.”
We are seeking a visionary Sr Director of Product who is passionate about building systems for the next generation of creators to help unlock the right blend of creator ease and creator mastery.
This executive will be expected to both deliver tangible products, experiments and initial MVPs on short time frames, while also contributing to the long-term product strategy and product delivery for LEGO Digital Play’s ecosystem while aligning our product innovations with the core LEGO values of Imagination, Creativity, Fun, Learning, Caring and Quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead product innovation across creator tools, platform services, programmability systems and AI-driven features.
Pioneer responsible AI use in trust and safety
Architect and evolve programmable environments and language systems that empower creators of all skill levels, from complete novices to experienced development teams, to build interactive behaviors and dynamic worlds.
Build, lead and mentor a high-performance product organization.
Establish experimentation frameworks and data-driven decision processes.
Identify emerging technologies, language models, platform architectures, and partnerships that will accelerate our growth.
Ensure compliance with global child safety, privacy, and digital platform regulations together with our partners in the Trust & Safety as well as in the Enterprise teams.
Build critical innovation partnerships between LEGO Digital Play and The LEGO Group.
Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, Trust & Safety and Marketing to deliver high-quality scalable products.
Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of product leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility in gaming, interactive platforms or digital ecosystems.
Experience setting product vision for an entire product area.
Proven success launching and scaling consumer platforms with programmable environments and/or social mechanics.
Deep understanding of AI/ML applications in gaming, including generative AI, personalization systems, intelligent agents and content moderation.
Familiarity with scripting languages, sandbox environments, developer platforms or embedded language systems for user creativity.
Experience managing large cross-functional teams in global environments.
Commercial acumen with experience in digital monetization models, particularly with virtual goods and/or creator economies.
Passion for creativity, play and empowering users to build and share.
