We are now recruiting a Meetings and Events Supervisor at our Holiday Inn Bloomsbury Hotel . Nestled opposite the picturesque Russell Square Gardens in the vibrant heart of Bloomsbury, London. Our newly acquired and refurbished IHG Brand, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury Hotel with 317 rooms. It’s a lively place to be, offering a Starbucks ground floor coffee bar, Media Lounge & co-working space area and the Stylish Artful Critic Bar ,13 Meeting Rooms and 1 Ballroom.
What you will be doing:
As a M&E Supervisor, you will be supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in delivering an exceptional level of dining experiences for our guests. You will be supervising your F&B teams with daily operations in our Food & Beverage department and support in developing our teams by leading by example and setting the standard to ensure that our guests’ expectations are exceeded.
Working with the F&B management team to help in creating an exciting work environment for the team to deliver great results and the highest standards of food and beverage, stock management, health and safety and guest satisfaction consistently on each shift.
Key Duties will include the following:
- Receive and respond to all customer feedback and complaints including check customer satisfaction regularly, ensuring all guest feedback is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.
- Oversee the service of food and beverages within the outlets and maintain overall responsibility for the kitchen, food preparation and beverage service throughout the outlets.
- Take responsibility for stock, including ordering, acceptance, and maintenance of stock levels and stock rotation, and return of any sub-standard items.
- Review sales and beverage costs for previous day; resolve discrepancies with Accounts. Track actual against budget. Inspect, plan and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service; rectify deficiencies with respective personnel.
What we would like from you
- Proven experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or similar experience.
- Experience in people management and delivering a high quality of customer service.
- Food Safety or Food Hygiene qualification Level 2 or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage such as latest drinks and stock management.
- Minimum intermediate level use of MS Office (Word, Excel)
