The Role
We're looking for a Social & Marketing Executive to join a fast-moving brand and marketing team working across three brands: Steve Madden, Carvela and Shoeaholics. This is a role for someone who is genuinely social-first - someone who is naturally inquisitive about consumer behaviour, excited by change and brings a positive, determined energy to everything they do. Your passion is all things content creation, social, marketing and AI innovation. You will work across content creation, social scheduling, community management and trend identification - supporting the Lead Social & Content Creator and the wider marketing team to drive commercial growth through engaging and relevant content. You will be at the forefront of how our brands show up on social and you'll be expected to bring new ideas, test new formats and raise the bar continuously. Social media moves quickly. Trends emerge overnight. Algorithms shift. The right candidate will not just keep up; they will get ahead and also have their own online social presence.
Day to day
- Produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) alongside the Trend & Content Creator - filming, editing and publishing
- Manage community across all brand accounts - responding to comments and DMs in the correct brand voice
- Source, curate and manage UGC for all brands - outreach, permissions, organisation
- Attend shoots and brand events to capture live, authentic social content
- Support the marketing managers on campaign delivery - asset organisation, copy briefing, channel coordination
- Brief and schedule email and social content across all three brands - Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and emerging platforms
- Assist with influencer seeding logistics - tracking, dispatch, content capture
- Execute Shoeaholics BAU marketing under the managers direction
Trends & reporting
- Monitor TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest and emerging platforms daily
- Support the Trend & Content Creator on reactive trend content - be ready to assist with filming, editing or captions at short notice
- Proactively explore and test AI content tools - including AI image generation, AI video editing and AI caption tools - to find efficiency gains and new creative possibilities for the brands
- Test one new content format or platform feature per month - document results and share with the team
- Stay ahead of Instagram and TikTok algorithm changes - proactively share updates that affect how we reach and grow our audiences
Requirements
- A genuine, demonstrable passion for social media - you're on these platforms because you love them
- Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram - you know how they work, what performs, and why
- Experience creating short-form video content - filming and editing using CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent. You are also not shy to be in front of the camera
- Excellent copywriting skills - you can write in different brand voices and you understand the difference between a caption that performs and one that doesn't
- Experience in a social media, content or marketing role (brand-side or agency)
- Proactive and highly organised - you can manage multiple brands, deadlines and briefs simultaneously
- A natural collaborator - you work well with creatives, managers and external partners
- Commercially aware - you understand that great content needs to connect to business results, not just impressions
- Experience across multiple brands simultaneously
- Knowledge of Pinterest and TikTok Shop
- Experience with influencer management or UGC sourcing
- Familiarity with social analytics platforms (Iconosquare)
- Fashion, footwear or lifestyle brand experience
