Junior Buyer - Brands & Wholesale

We have an exciting new role for a Junior Buyer within Monsoon’s growing third-party marketplace ‘Monsoon Bazaar’. An online curation of beautiful and sustainable products.

This Junior Buyer (Brands & Wholesale) role offers a unique chance to be part of a new business area within an established brand. Working within a small dynamic team, you’ll gain broad exposure across multiple functions, getting involved in multiple aspects of the business. You will develop and curate product ranges, manage supplier relationships, and oversee the full end-to-end buying process.

What the Junior Buyer does:

• Development of own area – new in-house brand and collaborations. Working closely with design and supply base, managing critical path, fit sessions and price negotiation and PO management
• Support the process of sourcing new and exciting brands that align with Monsoon values
• Range selection of 3rd party brands
• Manage the onboarding process of new brands – contract exchange and delivery requirements
• Manages deliveries and intake
• Manage end-to-end launch process from brand to online – collating product information from 3rd party brands, images & copy
• Support with marketing ideas and email design, working closely with digital design and online teams
• Manage samples process from suppliers needed for internal shoots & press events
• Working closely across multiple functions in the business and externals – Supplier, Studio & Image Team, Marketing, Digital Design
• Participates in seasonal press shows

What you need to succeed as a Junior Buyer:

• Experience in buying for a commercial fashion retailer, with a background of managing a category and delivering to the critical path
• Highly motivated and hardworking with the desire to work in a start-up environment
• Knowledge of new brands and the latest trends, and ability to understand and appreciate the aesthetic of Monsoon and the customer
