The Private Client Tax Senior Manager Role

As a Senior Manager, you will take ownership of a complex portfolio of private clients, delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while playing a key role in team leadership and growth. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership, helping to shape the direction of the Private Client offering while building strong, long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth and complex private clients
• Delivering a blend of advisory and compliance work, with increasing focus on advisory
• Providing advice across areas including CGT, IHT, residency, structuring and wider planning
• Acting as a trusted adviser and main point of contact for clients
• Reviewing work prepared by Managers and junior team members
• Leading and developing teams, including workflow planning and performance management
• Supporting business development and contributing to new client wins
• Monitoring WIP, utilisation and portfolio profitability

About You

You'll be a commercially aware, technically strong Private Client Tax professional with experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level.

Ideal experience includes:

• CTA, ACA or equivalent qualified
• Strong background in private client / personal tax within practice
• Proven ability to manage complex client portfolios
• Experience delivering advisory work and practical tax planning solutions
• Confident leading teams and mentoring junior staff
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
