Security Officer /Team Leader (Days & Nights)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer/Security Supervisor for educational sector, who will demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users at the University of Westminster. The role is based in their (Harrow) in north-west London Campus.The Security Officer will develop and lead operational excellence and best practice; optimising our service and value offering to customers to achieve performance targets. You will bring innovation and leadership and ensure a high-performance culture within your remit. This is an active and visible role requiring strong leadership competence in addition to entrepreneurial ability. Customer interaction is significant and excellent relationship management skills are required.Information:Position: Corporate Security Officer / Team LeaderLocation: Harrow Pay Rate: £13.85 (Officer) and £14.87 (Team Leader) per hourHours: 60 hours per week (36 hrs as Officer and 24hrs as Team Leader )Shifts: Mon - Wed (1100am - 2300pm) Sat & Sun (0700 - 1900)Job Role / Requirements:SIA Licence required5* Corporate Security, Concierge or Front of House experience for at least 1 year an advantageExcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as customer service at all timesMust have an excellent command of English Language & Good IT SkillsSecurity Experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor is essential - Education Sector experience desirable.A friendly, professional, courteous, and outgoing characterTo take pride in your appearance at all times, ensuring immaculate presentationFlexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.First Aid qualification & a CCTV SIA Licence are desirableAbout YouAble to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiativeBe calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional mannerPhysically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shiftConfident in writing incident and shift reportsTo always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service at all times ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.Have the ability to write emails and reply to emails in the correct manner and speak, very important in Corporate Industry.Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels.Able to understand Corporate Escalation Process, - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site.The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures.
