Live out Housekeeper
Housekeeper
We are seeking an experienced, professional and discreet Housekeeper to support a private family based in London, with the flexibility to travel between the family's homes and occasionally abroad. This is a stable, long-term position supporting a multi-generational family across homes, some of which have pets and children. The role suits a highly organised, proactive individual who is comfortable working independently while also supporting the wider household and other staff when required.

Candidate Profile
- At least five years of experience in a similar private household role.
- The right energy and fit for the family and other staff
- A fully flexible approach to the role
- Initiative, happy to see what needs doing, anticipate needs and stay one step ahead
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail
- Good standard of English
- Driving would be useful but not essential
- Positive, confident and professional manner
- Discreet and respectful of privacy at all times
- Happy to be in busy family homes, some of which have pets and children
Household Responsibilities
- Maintain exceptionally high cleaning standards throughout the property
- Good laundry skills, including confident processing of laundry and efficient ironing
- Confident preparation of a healthy breakfast each morning
- Happy to prepare an occasional light lunch or dinner, which would be advantageous but is not essential
- General daily upkeep of the London residence including organisation and shopping
- Running errands as required
- Operating household technology such as TVs and security systems
- Taking meter readings and assisting with basic maintenance tasks
- Occasional travel to the countryside to help cover other staff members' holidays, for up to a week at a time
- Willingness and flexibility to travel with the family between homes in the UK and abroad, including occasional trips to Europe for up to two weeks at a time, with plenty of notice given
Hours and Flexibility
This is a full-time role, requiring approximately 35-40 hours per week. The role is predominantly based in London from but requires flexibility depending on family travel. Weekend work will also be required, approximately two weekends per month. The successful candidate should be comfortable with a variable schedule.
