Account Executive – Sport & Entertainment (PR-Focused)

We’re working with a fast-growing, award-winning sports team that is continuing to make serious waves across the industry. With ambitious plans, high-profile partnerships and major moments on the horizon, they’re looking for an Account Executive to join their expanding communications team.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in delivering earned-first campaigns across sport and entertainment, supporting senior team members while taking real ownership from day one.

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes sport, understands how the media landscape operates, and wants to develop their media relations skills in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

What You’ll Bring

• A genuine passion for sport and a strong understanding of the sports media landscape
• Experience (internship or agency) within PR, ideally across sport, entertainment or lifestyle
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confidence pitching to media and building journalist relationships
• An understanding of how integrated campaigns work — but with PR as your core strength
• Awareness of how commercial partnerships operate within sport
• A proactive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn
• Social media awareness and an understanding of influencer culture
• Ability to manage and support junior team members where required

Key Responsibilities

Media & Communications

• Day-to-day liaison with journalists across national, regional, sports and trade media
• Proactively pitching stories, features and interview opportunities
• Building and maintaining media databases
• Monitoring and reporting on coverage, sentiment and key messaging
• Supporting media sell-ins around major sporting moments and announcements

Campaign & Event Support

• Supporting the planning and delivery of sports activations, events and media opportunities
• Assisting with logistics across shoots, launches and live moments
• Tracking key sporting fixtures and news hooks to maximise campaign impact

Influencer & Social

• Identifying relevant influencers for campaign collaborations
• Supporting influencer outreach and activation
• Assisting with social content planning around live sporting moments

Reporting & Admin

• Maintaining coverage trackers and delivering weekly status updates
• Supporting budget tracking and invoice processing
• Assisting in the creation of campaign reports and evaluations

Creativity & Growth

• Contributing ideas in brainstorms
• Proactively identifying reactive opportunities linked to the sporting calendar
• Supporting new business research and pitch preparation
