LOCATION: Cobham Training Ground, delivering throughout Surrey & Berkshire
CONTRACT: Full time permanent, 35 hours any 5 of 7 days.
JOB FUNCTION: To deliver safe, inclusive, high quality provision across all activities and provision.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:• To support the Area Lead in the effective planning and execution of the prom‘mme running in Surrey & Berkshire. These to include, but not limited to all In-School and Out of School activity, and the various activity delivered during the school holidays and to guide and support in the development and growth of the player pathway pLogamme in Surrey & Berkshire.
• To deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality coaching activity on a daily basis across the core pinnmes currently running. These to include, but not limited to all In-School and Out of School activity Player Development pi-oanme activity and the various activity delivered during the school holidays.
• To support the area lead in the effective planning and delivery of After school clubs, lunch time clubs, breakfast clubs, curriculum coaching and school festival/ tournaments. To do the same with the Player Pathway programme in Surrey & Berkshire.
• Where required, to lead on aspects of support for the sessional staff and contracted coaches, this could include the induction and onboarding, training and CPD, mentoring opportunities, scheduling, appropriate resources and quality assuring.
• Where line management of contracted staff is in place having regular 1:1's to review performance and KPI's and objectives, involvement in team meetings and investing in their development/training opportunities/CPD.
• To carry out duties relevant to legislation and club policies and procedures
• To undertake any other activities that maybe required in addition to the role.
Measures of Performance:
• To deliver coaching sessions across the week at no less than 60% of the contracted hours. (The 60% does not include travel and set up/down).
• To ensure efficiencies at all activities and supporting the wider team in financial growth.
• To be a positive role model, creating a safe, positive, inclusive and fun environment in which to educate, motivate and inspire young people and other participants ensuring they have a positive Chelsea experience.
• To build robust relationships with both internal and external customers, local schools, clubs, n iisations, businesses, governing bodies and authorities.
• To help and support CFC Football Development Staff to mentor and guide sessional workers in best practice and professionalism.
• To sustain and further develop activities through participation growth.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
• A minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification. (FA Level 1 is the equivalent qualification) working towards a UEFA C-License.
• In date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
• Clean driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS check
Experience:
• Been involved in grassroots football as a participant and/or coach.
• Worked as part of a team within a sporting environment.
Skills and Behaviours:
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Ability to organise and motivate team members.
• Confident and outgoing personality.
• Aims to support and improve staff members.
• Attention to detail. • Reliable and trustworthy.
• Risk aware and confident in escalating information.
